This course is designed to assist students in becoming better writers of analytical and research essays while learning to engage with a variety of sources, both in print and online. It includes a study of the basic ways ideas can be put together and presented clearly in writing. Two-thirds of the course will deal with basic writing theory; the remaining one-third will be actual writing pratice consisting of four essays and one research paper.
