Thank you to Beckley, West Virginia Mayor Rob Rappold for dropping by and extending a warm welcome to ABC students.
Mayor Rappold said, "It's a special privilege and honor to address a group of what I consider to be the best of the best. You have proven yourself in so many ways in our community through public service."

"My prayer is that Appalachian Bible College will be known as the college where there are servants in the gospel. I want our campus and our reputation and our testimony—not just this year but always—to be, 'That's the college where you're a servant in the gospel.'"

We come to ABC from many different places, but our citizenship is in heaven.
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." 2 Cor. 1:3-4
Team Staff narrowly edged out Team Students in the annual Bible quiz showdown.
Bob Sprigg met his future wife, Sheila, when they were both teenagers previewing ABC. After more than 30 years of marriage and ministry, God brought the Spriggs back to ABC this summer!
Mr. Sprigg is the new Director of Mount Olive Bible College, where 35 inmates are enrolled in accredited Bible/Theology and Pastoral ministry courses at West Virginia's maximum security prison.
"I love working with the men," Mr. Sprigg says, "watching them growing and maturing in the Word, watching them serve the other inmates and staff, listening to the break time 'debates' in theology, watching their excitement as they learn new concepts!" MOBC is sponsored by Appalachian Bible College.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Sprigg is Acting Business Manager at ABC. "Having served in the secular world for over 20 years, it is very exciting to serve full time in ministry," she says. She recently completed a Master of Education degree, while her husband is finishing doctoral work.
Would you partner with the Spriggs as they serve in these vital aspects of ministry at ABC? Like most faculty and staff, they are missionaries sent by a local church and dependent on the prayers and gifts of God's people.

Appalachian Bible Fellowship was privileged to host the Fellowship of Missions Annual Conference. FOM is comprised of nearly 30 mission agencies representing some 2,000 missionaries, including ABF missionary staff and faculty at Appalachian Bible College.
The conference culminated at Wednesday's chapel when FOM missionaries sang "O Church Arise" to ABC students:
Spirit, come put strength in every stride,
Give grace for every hurdle,
That we may run with faith to win the prize
Of a servant good and faithful.
"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing." Zephaniah 3:17
"Will you become a spiritual entrepreneur? Will you figure out ways to get people to Jesus? That's your job. You are 'servants in the gospel.' May your life be driven by the gospel—somebody who gets it done!"
Alumnus and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Pastor Van Marsceau, challenged students from Matthew's account of the paralytic and his four determined friends who encountered Christ.
