The Alderman Guest House was dedicated yesterday with a ceremony honoring Dr. Robert and Amelia Alderman, longtime friends of the College. Dr. Alderman served as pastor of Shenandoah Baptist Church (Roanoke, VA) 1971-2004, and since then as Minister-at-Large. Members of the church spent many hours renovating and furnishing the house, which was built in 1970 on Sandbranch Road. Praise God for this couple's legacy.

A 2009 graduate, Stephen teaches music and Bible in a Christian school. God has also given him opportunities to coach sports and serve in his local church.
Stephen says, "God used ABC to help me understand Scripture in a comprehensive and concise way so that I could teach and serve others also. I am thankful that ABC didn't tell me what to believe but gave me the tools to study Scripture for myself."
From lawn care to food service, from the library to the garage—students are employed in a variety of campus jobs. Josh is a senior from Arizona finishing his final semester at ABC.
With the semester half over, today was declared Campus Fun Day: games and free time in place of classes. No complaints were heard from either students or staff. 😊

Appalachian Bible College announces the Senior Recital of Joel Stepanek this evening at 7:00 PM. The recital is given to fulfill requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Bible and Theology and Music ministry.
Joel, a student from Glade Park, Colorado, will conduct several ensemble groups and will also play violin works by Vivaldi and Bach. A highlight will be the choral piece, “Is He Worthy?”
“It contains such a powerful message!” Joel says. “The song concludes with all voices agreeing that Christ can bring light into this dark world. He is the only One who is ‘worthy of all blessing and honor and glory!’”
Explaining why he chose to study both Bible and Music at ABC, Joel says, “I wanted to be well-grounded in my faith as a Christian while I continued to be trained musically. My desire as a musician is to teach, edify, evangelize, and point others to Christ.”
After finishing his degree next month, Joel is interested in serving as a music pastor or as a missionary music teacher in Central America.
The public is invited to the recital in Anderson Hall. Attendees will be asked to wear face coverings and follow instructions for distanced seating. The event will also be streamed live.
Congratulations to senior Joel Stepanek on an excellent recital last evening. Joel is in the violin studio of Mrs. Rebekah Anderson-Rowe and the conducting studio of Mr. Jeremy Yowell.

Matched at the beginning of each fall semester, staff-student prayer partners encourage one another throughout the year—not just during this Prayer Emphasis Week.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 6th annual Beautiful Feet to raise funds for the ABC Missions Conference.
